Regolamento della Call «Le tue storie in Dungeon Legacy»

Versione 0.2 · 26 settembre 2026Scarica .docxTorna a Community

In breve

  • Solo maggiorenni, storia originale, uso dell'IA dichiarato.

1.Scopo e natura dell'iniziativa

  • videogiochi, applicazioni, espansioni, contenuti scaricabili, aggiornamenti, nuove versioni e nuove piattaforme di Dungeon Legacy;
  • edizioni a stampa e digitali, libri, fumetti, audiolibri, giochi da tavolo e di ruolo;
  • adattamenti cinematografici, televisivi, audiovisivi e per lo streaming, registrazioni sonore e radiofoniche;
  • materiali promozionali e merchandising (compresi i personaggi, i luoghi e i nomi inventati per la Storia);

4.5Cessione a terzi.

6.1.f); (c) pubblicare foto e intervista: consenso (art. 6.1.a), revocabile.

Rules of the Call "Your stories in Dungeon Legacy"

Version 0.2 · September 26, 2026Download .docxBack to Community

In brief

  • You share, you do not earn. No payment or shares, even if the expansion is sold.
  • The Pitch is free. Presenting the idea assigns no rights.
  • The Full Form assigns the rights in the story to Dungeon Legacy, exclusively and worldwide (Art. 4).
  • Rights the law does not allow to be assigned stay yours, such as being recognised as the author (Art. 4.4 and 4.9).
  • Credits in the game and on the website if the story is published. Photo and interview only if you wish.
  • Adults only, original story, AI use declared. This is not a prize contest.

The text below is legally binding. This box is only a summary: in case of doubt the text of the articles prevails.

Version 0.2, 2026-09-26. English translation. In case of differences, the Italian text prevails (see Article 12.6).

In this text: "Owner" is Paolo Giulio Gazzano, author and owner of Dungeon Legacy (dungeonlegacy.app). "You" is the person who submits a story. "Story" is what you submit: text, plot, characters, places, names, dialogue, descriptions and any other creative element contained in the Pitch and in the Form. "Pitch" is the presentation sheet (Phase 1). "Full Form" is the Form completed in every part (Phase 2). "Kit" means the Guide, the Form, the Example and the Technical Appendix.

1.Purpose and nature of the initiative

1.1The Call invites people who love adventure to propose a story that the Owner may choose to turn into an expansion of Dungeon Legacy.

1.2You take part to share a story, not to earn money. Nobody receives money, shares or compensation of any kind, even if the expansion is sold. If you are not comfortable with this, please do not take part: no hard feelings.

1.3This is not a prize contest. No prize is awarded, and the choice of stories is an editorial selection by the Owner, like that of a publishing house.

2.Who can take part

2.1Adults only (at least 18 years old and of legal age under the law of your country), with full legal capacity to enter into the contract.

2.2If the Story has several authors, the Declaration must be signed by each of them, or by one of them who guarantees to hold the authority to act for all.

2.3The Owner may ask to verify the author's identity (for example with a signed copy of the Declaration and an identity document). A false or missing answer results in exclusion.

3.The two phases

3.1Phase 1, Pitch. You send a sheet of 1-2 pages. The Pitch only serves to evaluate the idea: you do not assign any rights. You allow us to read it, keep it and discuss it. We do not publish or exploit your Pitch, or original parts of it, unless you send us the Full Form.

3.2Phase 2, Full Form. Only people invited by the Owner send the Full Form, with the Declaration at the end. By sending it you assign your rights under Article 4.

3.3Send the Full Form only if you are sure: after sending, the assignment takes effect even if the Story is not chosen (see 4.1 and 4.9).

4.Assignment of rights

4.1Assignment. By sending the Full Form and the Declaration you assign to the Owner all economic exploitation rights in the Story, permanently, exclusively, irrevocably (subject to Art. 4.9) and without payment in money, for the entire term of copyright and any extensions, worldwide.

4.2Modes of exploitation included. The assignment expressly includes the right to reproduce, publish, distribute, make available to the public, communicate, rent, translate, adapt, modify, cut, expand, illustrate, dub, set to music and adapt the Story, in any form and on any medium, including:

  • video games, apps, expansions, downloadable content, updates, new versions and new platforms of Dungeon Legacy;
  • print and digital editions, books, comics, audiobooks, board games and role-playing games;
  • film, television, audiovisual and streaming adaptations, sound and radio recordings;
  • promotional materials and merchandising (including the characters, places and names invented for the Story);
  • any other mode of exploitation known today or that becomes known, to the extent the law allows it to be assigned.

4.3Changes. You authorise us to modify the Story for reasons of balance, length, consistency with the game, language, accessibility and platform limits, and to combine it with other works. You acknowledge that these changes are permitted and are not prejudicial to your honour or reputation. The Owner will try to rewrite the narrative texts in agreement with you, but the final decision is the Owner's.

4.4Moral rights. The Owner credits you as author under Article 6. To the extent permitted by law you waive asserting moral rights in a way that hinders the normal exploitation of the Story; rights that the law declares non-transferable (for example, in Italy, the right to be recognised as author of the work and to object to changes that harm your honour or reputation) remain yours.

4.5Assignment to third parties. The Owner may in turn assign, license or transfer all or part of these rights to third parties (for example publishers, platforms, successors to the business).

4.6No obligation to publish. The Owner may decide not to publish the Story, to publish only part of it or to publish it much later, and freely decides whether an expansion is free or paid and at what price, without accounting to any author for what is earned.

4.7What remains yours. General ideas (for example a brave dwarf, a haunted mill, a pact with a demon) remain free for everyone, including you. You may state that you are the author of the Story in your CV or portfolio and show the published version. You may not, however, use the Story elsewhere or assign it to others.

4.8Written form. The parties agree that the Declaration received by e-mail, together with the Owner's confirmation of receipt, constitutes written proof of the assignment, including for the purposes of Art. 110 of Italian Law no. 633/1941. For the chosen Story the Owner may request a hand-signed copy (a scan is fine) or one with an advanced or qualified electronic signature.

4.9Rights the law does not allow to be excluded. If the law that applies to you grants authors rights that cannot be excluded by contract (for example, in the European Union, the right to take the rights back if the work is not exploited for the period provided by law, or to claim additional remuneration in particular cases), those rights remain, and the other provisions of these Rules stay valid. In addition, as a courtesy and not as an obligation: if the Owner decides not to publish your Story, the Owner will tell you in writing; you may ask for the rights to be returned and the Owner will consider it case by case.

4.10What the Owner creates. Images, music, code, translations, balancing, interface and any other element created by or for the Owner to build the expansion remain the Owner's; you acquire no rights in them.

5.No compensation

5.1You receive no fees, shares, royalties, percentages of sales or reimbursements of any kind, for any form of exploitation of the Story, free or paid.

5.2You acknowledge that publication in the game, the credits and the visibility that result are the consideration you accept, and, to the extent permitted by law, you waive any other financial claim.

6.Credits, photo and interview

6.1If the Story is chosen and published, the Owner credits you in the game and on the website under the name you indicate (a pseudonym is fine), for as long as the Story remains in the game.

6.2Photo and interview on the website are optional and are published only with your written consent (checkbox in the Declaration). You may withdraw consent at any time: the Owner removes them from the website (copies already distributed elsewhere cannot be withdrawn).

6.3The Owner will not use your name for advertising or products unrelated to the Story without your permission.

7.Selection and publication

7.1The Owner freely chooses the stories to publish, based on quality, consistency with the game and technical feasibility. There is no obligation to choose, to publish or to explain the choice.

7.2The Owner tells you the outcome within a reasonable time. No release dates are promised.

7.3If your Story is published, you may read it through in a test version before release.

7.4The Owner may close the Call or choose no story at all at any time.

8.Author's warranties and responsibility

8.1Originality. You declare that the Story is your own work, original, and does not infringe third-party rights (copyright, trademarks, image, privacy). No fan fiction or copies of books, films, games or websites.

8.2Right to assign. You declare that you are the sole owner of the rights you assign (or have the authority of your co-authors) and have not already assigned or licensed them to anyone else.

8.3Artificial intelligence. If you used generative AI tools for part of the Story, you declare it in the Form, indicating which parts and which tool. You declare that the tool's terms of use allow commercial use of the output and that you have the right to assign it. AI-generated parts are assigned to the extent they are protectable by law. If a part is not protectable, you cannot guarantee exclusivity for it: say so in the Form.

8.4Indemnity. If a third party makes a claim about the Story for a breach of your commitments, you are responsible and will hold the Owner harmless from damages, expenses and reasonable legal costs.

8.5Removal. The Owner may remove the Story from the game and from the website, without liability to you, if violations or false statements come to light; in that case the Owner may exclude you from taking part.

9.Permitted content

9.1The Story is adventure fantasy, suitable for players from 12 years old (to be confirmed against the rating declared on the store), as described in the Guide.

9.2Content that is hateful, sexual, gratuitously violent, about real persons, using others' trademarks or promoting illegal activity is not allowed.

10.Personal data (information under Art. 13 GDPR)

10.1Data controller: Paolo Giulio Gazzano, contact: campagne@dungeonlegacy.app (the Call address).

10.2Data processed: first and last name, e-mail address, any pseudonym, content of the Pitch and Form, Declaration, communications with the Owner and, only if you consent, photo and interview.

10.3Purposes and legal bases: (a) evaluate the proposal, manage the selection and communicate with you: pre-contractual measures and performance of the contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR); (b) keep the Declaration as proof of the assignment and defend ourselves in case of disputes: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f); (c) publish photo and interview: consent (Art. 6.1.a), which can be withdrawn.

10.4Provision of data: identification data and e-mail are necessary to take part; without them the proposal cannot be evaluated. Photo and interview are optional.

10.5Retention: contact data for proposals not chosen: 12 months from communication of the outcome, then deleted, or earlier on your request. The signed Declaration is kept for as long as the Owner holds the rights (it is the proof of the assignment). Data and Story of the chosen proposal: for as long as the Story remains in the game. Photo and interview: until consent is withdrawn.

10.6Recipients: data is not sold or passed to third parties for commercial purposes. The Call address forwards mail to the Owner's personal mailbox: the forwarding service (Cloudflare) and the mail service (Google Gmail) process the data as strictly necessary providers, including outside the European Economic Area with the safeguards provided by law.

10.7Rights: you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and withdraw consent, by writing to the contact above; you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or the authority of your country. Erasure does not affect the assignment of rights already made or the retention of the Declaration (10.5).

11.Governing law and jurisdiction

11.1These Rules and the Declaration are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to mandatory rules of your country.

11.2For any dispute the court of the place of residence or seat of the Owner has jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rules to the contrary.

12.Final provisions

12.1Partial invalidity. If a provision is void or ineffective, the others remain valid and the void provision is deemed replaced by the valid one closest to its original purpose.

12.2Versions. The version of the Rules in force when you send the Declaration applies. Later changes do not alter your rights already assigned or your obligations, unless you accept them in writing.

12.3Entire agreement. The Rules, the Declaration and the Kit are the entire agreement between you and the Owner on this Story. The Kit has no contractual value except where the Rules refer to it and except the statements you make in the Form (author, co-authors, use of AI, age), which form part of the Declaration.

12.4No employment relationship. Taking part creates no employment, partnership, collaboration or agency relationship between you and the Owner.

12.5Communications. Communications take place by e-mail at the addresses indicated; it is your responsibility to keep yours active.

12.6Language. In case of differences between language versions, the Italian one prevails.

13.How to accept

13.1You copy the Declaration at the end of the Full Form, fill it in (first and last name, e-mail, title, date) and send it with the Form to campagne@dungeonlegacy.app.

13.2The assignment takes effect on receipt of the Full Form and the Declaration, even if the confirmation arrives later. The Owner replies with a confirmation of receipt stating the date and the title of the Story: keep that e-mail. For the chosen Story a signed copy is then requested (Article 4.8).

13.3To be effective, the clauses listed in the second part of the Declaration require a second signature (first and last name written again), as provided by Articles 1341 and 1342 of the Italian Civil Code.

Participation Declaration

To be copied at the end of the Full Form, filled in and signed twice.

I, the undersigned ‹first and last name›, e-mail ‹…›, author of the Story titled ‹title›, declare that I have read and understood the Rules of the Call "Your stories in Dungeon Legacy", version 0.2, and in particular that:

  1. I take part to share my Story, not to earn money. I will receive no compensation, no shares and no other payment, even if the expansion is sold.
  2. By sending the Full Form I assign to Dungeon Legacy (Paolo Giulio Gazzano) all economic exploitation rights in the Story, exclusively, for the entire term of copyright and worldwide, including the modes of exploitation listed in Article 4.2 and the right to modify it, not to publish it and to assign it to third parties.
  3. I will no longer be able to use the Story elsewhere or assign it to others. The rights that the law does not allow to be assigned or excluded remain mine (Articles 4.4 and 4.9).
  4. Dungeon Legacy credits me if the Story is published, under the name I indicate below.
  5. The Story is original, does not infringe third-party rights and contains no real persons; I have the right to assign it (also on behalf of any co-authors). I have declared any use of AI in the Form and its terms of use allow it.
  6. I am an adult (18 years old and of legal age under the law of my country).
  7. I have read the personal data information in Article 10.
